The son of a retired educator of 33 years, Nathaniel B. Dyer is committed to enriching the lives of our children. He considers this to be more than a personal obligation but a calling. With over 18 years of mentoring and providing services to children, he has established a solid and consistent track record of success. Being a diehard advocate, Nate's goal is to continue to provide high-quality experiences for children as it relates to their education, personal development, and pursuit of their life-long goals. After moving to Atlanta in 1996, Nate volunteered with various youth organizations and schools throughout the city. He was disappointed to find that their focus was usually misguided, the approach lackluster and most were inadequate in meeting the needs of the children they served. With the high rate of suspensions for black children, low performing schools and the lack of administrators willing to reach out and engage parents, KIDS FIRST! was created.

The mission of KIDS FIRST! is to create fun school activities and in an environment which enhances academic achievement, relationship development and a sense of community.
